The Council of Lothlorien

[Faron]

On a large platform built around a central tree of Lothlorien and about 15 feet off the ground, sits the Council of Lothlorien, headed by the Elvish Lord Ashuron Leafbow and his son, Arken. He and his council await anyone wishing the aid of the mighty Lorien, all they need do is ask. And have politics that agree with that of Lorien.

[Garland]

Lord Garland rode alone to the forest of Lorien. As he came to the great tree in the ceter of the place he dismounted his steed and approached the council hall. He bowed as he entered and without lifting his head he spoke. "I come seeking audience with the noble Lord of Lothlorien."

[Faron]

"I am he," Ashuron said, "What do you wish?"

[Garland]

Lord Garland raised his head, "I am Lord Garland of Khazad-Dum, I come offering you friendship and alliance."

[Faron]

"Before I can pledge any support or friendship, I need to know who your allies and enemies are," the elvish lord said. The other elves watched with interest in the proceedings.

[Garland]

Garland stood straight and smiled. "As of now I seek alliance with yourself and Gondor. My journey from here will take me to Mirkwood where I will seek alliance with it's master. For my part I am also an ally of Doren of Arnor. I would call any and all with the ambition to spread darkness arcoss the fair lands of Middle Earth my enemy."

[Faron]

"Rather strange speech from one who rules the cursed land of Moria. At this time my only alliance is with Arnor, so I shall agree to this new alliance."

[Garland]

Garland smiled, "Thank you, my friend. You shall see, Khazad-Dum is not so cursed as in days past. May our friendship last to the end of our days, Lord Ashuron." Garland bowed once more, "Now, I must ride once again, but I do hope we meet again soon."

[Faron]

"Perhaps we shall. Farewell."

[Garland]

Garland nodded and left the Elvish hall. Mounting his steed he turned north and rode for Mirkwood.

[Alcorad]

The two Dunedain of Arnor who had been sent by Doren breifly stepped forward after Garland began to walk away. "Be watchful still upon the land of Moria. More will become clear soon but always keep in mind the fate of the elves of Eregion."

[Faron]

"Even so, Moria is a key region, it allows the people from your land and mine to travel to each other much easier."

[Garland]

Garland waited outside the Elvish Hall for the two Dunedain of Arnor. As they came out and mounted their horses, Garland gave them a stern look. "My friends, I will no longer need your company on this trip. I have shown you and your Lord due respect and in return you have disrespected me and blatatly insulted my character in front of King Aragorn and Lord Ashuron. I am sorry, but you will now leave me. Your Lord would not tolerate such circumstances, nor will I. I have no moer to prove than does he." With that, Garland turned and rode away.

[Alcorad]

The Dunedain rode to Annuminas there after as quickly as they could passing through Moria.

[Alcorad]

Three days following the departure of the Dunedain of Arnor, yet another emissary flew to Lothlorien feeling the warmth of the sun on it's wings. It flew to Ashuron's arm and indicated a letter tied to it's leg with it's beak.

Greetings, Lord Ashuron,

It seems that an alliance of evil has been formed. Morsereg, Dark Lord of Angmar, has revealed his allies to me. An alliance of Angmar, Enedwaith, Moria, Khand, and Isengard has formed to destroy the free peoples of Middle Earth. I invite you to a council that shall decide our course of action. It will be held at Annuminas. I eagerly await your response and hope to see you soon.
