Ilmare entered the familliar library of Elrond and saw that nothing was spoiled and everything still like it was abandoned from Lord Elrond. She smiled and nodded. "THis is going to be my residence until Dorlas is back from Angrenost."

Ashuron of Lorien approached the study hall and sent one of the servants inside to announce his entrance to the Lady of Rivendell. He was here apparently for a social call, but he had another, more secret purpose.
OOC: This is some time other than Ash's trip to Harad obviously, because he can't be in two places at once.

OOC: Okay, cool
A servant of Lady Ilmare guided him to the Library, where Ilmare sat close to one of the wide open windows and were reading. She heared them enter, looked up and raised with a surprised, but friendly smile. "Lord Ashuron Leafbow. My pleasure to meet you again. Please come, take seat and tell me what I can do for you."

"Well, Lady Ilmare, I was here visiting some of my relatives, since I am in fact an elf, Rivendell is full of those related to me. Since I was in the area, I thought that I would stop in and see how the rule of these fair elvish lands is. So, what are the conditions like in Rivendell these days?"

Ilmare nodded. "I am sure you like to have atself a look and want to speak with your kindsmen. You are free to move wherever you like and to speak with whom ever. Rivendell is freed from Bauglir and reastablishes slowly but with progress its former beauty and freedom. I will not dwell here for long, but Dorlas will be here as my Steward. The wolfes of Enedwaith have left and soon the last men of Enedwaith will leave it to your kind, too. I don't want to spoil the beauty of this place with a bunch of rough men. It belongs to the elves and should have never been given to the son of Morgoth." She shivered by calling his name.

"It is good to hear that you wish to retain Rivendell's beauty. However, something does worry me. It is said that you attacked Mithlond and Angrenost without reason. As little friendliness that I bear Megloren of Isenguard, I would like to hear your reasons for these attacks, otherwise I would fear for the future of the elves here in Imaldris."

Ilmare pointed to a soft chair and asked if she might take seat as well. "Mithlond was invaded by Bauglir and called for aid. Lord Garland and I were sending this aid. Angrenost... was not for expansion, even I took it into my rulership after Megloren abandoned it. It was a very personal reason, because she hunted me and gave ill tellings about me to our allies and tried to make me look like ... well, it was vengence. As simple as it can get. I am going to offer Lord Aragorn my apology and so do I now to you. My wrath was maybe bigger than my feeling for my duty as an allie."

"Wrath can be a dangerous thing if you let it rule you completly, although I may not be the best one to be saying such things. Your honesty surprises me, many would have crafted some story as to their reasons for invasion. I trust this Dorlas of yours will be up to the challenge of ruling a race other than his own? I would hate to see him misjudge or poorly treat the elves of Rivendell."

"You are right, Dorlas may not be the best choice to rule over an elven realm. But he wount rule it at all, because he will only follow my orders. And I was raised in Rivendell the most of my later childhood and I am calling it more my home than hulston where I was born. I can't be at two places and I don't think that I would be a better representant than Dorlas. He is quiet and friendly and will take care of Rivendell. You are invited to send ambassadors and watchers to make sure that your people will receid no harm and no pressure by Dorlas or me."

"I think my brother who lives here shall act as my ambassador. I hope you understand I'm not trying to meddle in your rule, but it is important to me. You see, only Lorien and Mirkwood remain of the elven lands to be ruled by our own race and I have the best interest of all elves to think of."

((Okay, since Ilmare is going to be slice-dyced by Aragorn when she tries to apologize, I set this before Ilmares travel to Gondor and modiefied my last post slightly. Hope thats cool?))
Ilmare nodded. "Of course my Lord, I understand this. I don't say do not worry, because I would worry if I were in your position. I only can say, that I do not want to disapoint you. You can send your ambassadors whenever you like and in the count you decide. But if you don't mind, and I hope not to sound rude, but I have to prepare myself. I am just arrived from Rohan and going to travel to Enedwaith and from there directly to Gondor to speak with Lord Aragorn..."
((if you don't mind, we finish this thread... the next ruler will be elvekind and on the good side ...))

"I must leave as well. I hope to have this same chat with the new ruler of Mithlond and I do hope it yields the same results." Ashuron bowed and left the study.

... after Ilmares death
Lord Saeros entered Imladris and was welcomed overhelmingly by his people. They had got message already when Saeros left Enedwaith for his comming and prepared everything for a welcome celebration. He was surprised and happy and cheered to his people and declared openly the Library as his new residence. Everybody would be welcome at this merry, beautifull place and receive council and help if needed and desired. The dark days of Imladris were over.

It was a few weeks after the battle against Gondor when a rider allone entered the dale and came straight to the last homely house. The cloaked and hooded man dismounted, gave his steed to one of the stable boys and entered the study room. The former Steward of Enedwaith sat there with a glas wine and awaited his Lordship. Saeros uncloaked in front of him, put his clothes in the hands of a house maiden and shoveled himself in a chair opposite to his Steward, who looked surprised to see him so suddenly aproaching. "Well then, what is it with Enedwaith and while you are here and not defending the Realm I gave you to watch for?" Saeros asked calmly, but with a light timbre of anger in his voice.
The steward lowered his head and said:"They came in double strength over us and set siege engines against the gates. I didn't saw how we could stand such an outnumbering." Saeros raised an eyebrow. "So learn, I am comming right now from a battle, won by Gondor, with an enemy force TEN times bigger than ours slamming into our hosts. And you said you simply gives up a complete realm after beeing outnumbered the double? Where were the reinforcement of Imladris? Had they been already in Gondor?" The steward shoke his head. "They were not far from Mahalma Qualme." "So after all, the numbers had been eaqual?" "I guess so, but they were supposed to aid Gondor." Saeros raised from his chair and the steward backed off, but his Lord didn't turned on him but went to the windows. "So we lost the realm because you decided not to wait for the reinforcement but to surrender immediatly? For what? Sending 30 000 men into the slaughterhouse of the Pelennor? What did Garland say that made you feeling it would be a need of abandone the realm?" The steward looked up to Saeros and repeated the word with Garland. "Thats all? Very well, I need you to give witness about what happened in Enedwaith. The King of Gondor wants to know what happened with us, since the forces of evil increased now by your decision. I send you straight to them. Don't wait, get up on your horse in this hour and make your way to King Envinyatar. And after you proofed this time courage, I may concider not to release you from my service." The steward looked sad, but nodded and raised. "I am off to Gondor, my Lord." he said and made his way to his chamber to change into his mail garment and pack his belongings for the road. The night went black without stars or moon when he mounted his steed and turned towards Gondor. Saeros sighed and prepared a message for Aragorn and sended it with a bird.

... later
A message of the former Steward of Enedwaith arrived Lord Saeros, while he was sitting in his library. He took the bird on his wrist and released the letter from its body. Saeros read silently, raised and said to one of his servants: "I am leaving to Gondor today. Prepare everything, and hurry."
