Deep within the Black Chasm beyond those foundations and halls built by the dwarves of old, there were many delvings in the deep and long walkways constructed of timber and hide that the goblins used to traverse from here to there, sneaking from place to place under the veil of darkness. Always on the hunt.
The Armies of Moria include 39,000
- 4,000 Spiderlings:
These Spiders are smaller than those ridden by the Goblin spider riders but are much more swift and far more deadly because of their extremely potent venom.. Descendants of Ungoliant, this breed is not nearly as large as the mighty Shelob, but still quite formidable in the deep places of the world.
-1,000 Fire Drakes
The wild fire drake is a very small, land-bound, fire-breathing dragon. Although it is the smallest dragon in Middle Earth, it is still about as tall as a troll. If a troll stretched his arms out, he could just touch the nose and the tip of the drake's tail. They can incinerate an area roughly within the radius of fifteen soldiers with their fiery breath.
15,000 Goblins of Moria-
These are small, mean-spirited creatures that live a troglodyte existence in the numerous dwelling places beneath the Misty Mountains. The ancient Dwarf tunnels of Moria have become home to these loathsome monsters. They scuttle through the tunnels with amazing dexterity, attacking, destroying and consuming intruders that venture into their dark realm. They are a low kind of degenerate Orc adapted to a life beyond the light.
- 9,000 Spider Riders
This is the Goblin-equivalent of cavalry. They can switch between archer attacks or spear attacks. When used to attack enemies up close, the spider will attack too.Goblins armed with Mithril, these beasts are adorned in chain male and pointed helms with spiders as their steeds. These units are able to ascend walls and are usually used to do such things. For ambushes and secret operations, the spider riders of Alcorad are indeed dangerous.
-5,600 Hobgoblin Guard:
Feirce goblins from the deep mines. These beastly warriors are armed with Mithril Plate Armor alongside the Khazad Guard. They are adorned in Mithril armor and weild large scimitars and sheilds.
-4,600 Goblin Archers
Goblin archers with deadly percision and quick reflexes. These beasts are adorned in Mithril Armor and weild a steel dagger and bow with a quiver of fifty arrows.
-6,100 Goblin Swordsman
Swift Goblin swordsman who weild duel scimitars and are adorned in mithril plate armor. At their sides they also have two daggers hidden.
-3,000 Goblin Shamans
For centuries untold, the Shamans of the Goblins of Moria have been the tools by which the Red Eye of Mordor has enacted his will upon these lowest of his minions. Their mind-bending powers are inferior to those of the Wizards, but they also have the ability of working up the warriors of their tribe into a blind frenzy, invoking upon them the protection of their dark god. The coming of Durin's Bane in the subterranean realm of Moria has been interpreted by these Shamans as a sign from their evil deity, the sending of a fearsome emissary to help them destroy the hated Dwarves.
200 Goblin Drummers
When Goblins go to war they are often hurried on by the beat of massive drums. Though there is nothing magical about the drums, the sound increases the Goblins' will to fight and the drums themselves can prove a rallying point about which they will fight that much harder. The effect of the drums in the enemy is only slightly less pronounced, as the steady sonorous beat erodes the resolve of even the bravest warriors.
These drummers are also equipt with a dagger that is to be used in case attack comes upon them. No warrior is rendered defensless in the Goblin Colonies.
800 Stone Giants-
Stone Giants that are massive in size and hurl great boulders at their enemies. These behemoth's are one of Alcorad's most powerful units in his Morian army. (They are mentioned in the hobbit.)
2,400 Cave Trolls-
Cave Trolls are large and loathsome creatures which shun the light, preferring to hide away in dark caves and subterranean tunnels. They are both cumbersome and slow-witted but none-the-less dangerous creatures once roused to anger. Fortunately there are only a few of these fearsome monsters compared to the vast hordes of Moria Goblins amongst whom they live and which, in all probability, form the bulk of their diet.
These monsters lumber into combat swinging a huge crude club, but can make use of spears and Troll chains if the opportunity arises. They are adorned in Mithril armor and weild a large blade or spiked club.
1,800 Mountain Giants-
Graet Behemoths of the Mountain Peeks, these beasts were long ago trained aside their trolls. These creatures are heavily armored with mithril plate armor and use their massive arms to either weild great clubs or hurl massive boulders at their enemies.
1,000 Half-Troll Marauders-
The sinister hybrid of men and trolls, these beasts are as cunning as they strong and weild swords and maces alike, taking to other large weapon as would a berserker to increase their ratio of mortal blows.
