The coastal city located at the mouth of the River Greyflood. Here the mighty Viking fleet makes it's berth, a peril to all whom dare sail the waters along Enedwaith.

Enedwaith was a wide land, just emerging from winter. Not feeling the chills, in her beautifully woven clothes, Cerridwen rode, nevertheless, with caution, her far sighted eyes scanning the land. In the Havens she had acquired a map of all the lands as far east as the Sea of Rhun and showing part of Harad and Khand, although these were obviously largely unknown to the cartographer. She crossed the Baraduin river at Sarn Ford and knew that the next crossing was at a place called Tharbad, but she had no fixed destination in mind, and so she headed toward the coast and Lond Daer, merely curious because her uncle, Finrod, had told her that after Luthien died, the minstrel Daeron of Doriath, who had loved her, had left Doriath and wandered in many distant lands, making music in her memory, and some said Lond Daer was a place where he had lingered for a time. The port seemed busy, from a distance, as she watched it from a hill top, there was a fleet of ships anchored there, and they appeared strange, fierce looking, predatory vessels, which made her turn away, and after shooting a coney for a meal, skinning it and roasting it, over a small fire, she carefully filled in the fire pit, and lay down, under the stars, ready to ride on at dawn, retracing the Gwathlo, which perhaps, or perhaps not, could be forded before Tharbad.

Sophianna had journeyed to Lond Daer on a small matter of business earlier in the day. She did not plan on staying long...just for a brief period of time. Her black steed carried her to the top of the very hilltop on which Cerridwen now stood. Dismounting, she placed her hands casually on her hips, and followed the woman's gaze out across the city. "Wonderous place is it not?" She asked simply. "I believe I should welcome you to Enedwaith...you are a visitor, yes?"

Cerridwen looked around and inclined her head, ' It is an old place, ' she said, half to herself, ' Aiya, Herinya, ' she said in Quenya reflexively, as it was her mother-tongue. ' I am merely passing through, ' she raised a hand to point to the harboured ships. ' I have never seen ships like that before, they are of Mortals, mae? ' her speech flickered from Quenya to Sindarin, and to an antique Westron, learned by the Elves of Tol Eressea, who had visited Numeor before it's fall. She had mainly aavoided people, but those she had seen spoke , in general, Westron, in this region, at least. the woman was strangely dressed, she thought, although how was she to know what was normal in this place, or this age.

Sophianna nodded her head, folding her arms after pushing a dark curl away from her eye. "It is an old place." Her long sleeves billows slightly in the breeze that blew over the hill, but she did not move as her dark gaze scanned the city below. "Yes, you are correct about the ships...but I would not be too eager to go down to get a closer look. The people here are not all together friendly to outsiders. Be careful that you offend no one if you venture further into this city - or any city within Enedwaith at that." She shrugged her shoulders, the sword tied loosely to her side swayed as she turned to face the other woman, her lips parted in the faintest of smirks.

' I seek Elven lands, this place tastes of mortals to me, lady, ' Cerridwen said, ' I will follow the map back towards Tharbad to cross the river. If they ask a toll through Tharbad, I can pay, I am heading further westwards, ' the Havens were Elven, but they were too close to the sea, if she spent any great amount of time there, she would become so homesick she would simply wish to return to Aman, she knew.
