Dorwinion was one of the jewels of Rhun, characterized for its fabulous wine, it is a place of beauty and elegance. Characterized by opulent gardens and a network of canals that was the method of transportation for much of the city. Dorwinion is nestled on the North-Eastern side of the Sea of Rhun. The days are warm and the nights are cold but the temperature is perfect for the growing of the finest vineyards in Middle Earth that make for the finest wine. Although the Easterlings themselves are not friendly to the outside world, they have managed to have established trade with the High King Thranduil of Mirkwood. At his passing from the throne, Siranna took hold of old Greenwood and the trade between Dorwinion and the City of Green ended. Dorwinion became infested with imperial scouts, sturdy Easterlings of Riavod who serve the High King himself and are above the orders of the Council of Elders. Ever since the arrival of the Imperials, Dorwinion was locked down for the most part with the occasional exchange of goods that came with caravans from Near Harad. The city was surrounded by a high wall on the Eastern, Southern, and Northern sides but to the East it went into the Sea of Rhun, the greatest inland sea in all of Middle Earth. Here it was guarded by a small fleet of patrol ships that worked to secure its borders.
