Here lies the city of Riavod, the luxurious capitol of the eastern peoples. It lies far to the North of the Sea of Rhun in the regions of Northern Rhun, a cool arid land surrounded by evergreens and plains. In places Northern Rhun was heavily forested and in other places it was naught but a vast expanse of low foothills, however among the foothills was a jewel. Surrounded by a high wall with battlements lining its sides and a massive gate with images of dragons and mythical beasts engraved upon it.
Within the inner city were tall towers and large stately buildings and monuments. Roads were paved in stone and ran in an intricate network throughout the vast city of Riavod. The square of the city, central of commerce and trade, lay in the shadow of the capitol where the members of the High Council stayed and made laws for their land. They were the true leaders of Rhun, the King was just a figure head.
The buildings were tall and luxurious with great domes at their tops and elegant statues of heavenly maidens and divine beings in a statuesque form, placed at their crown.
The city of Riavod was the crown of Rhun, beautiful and elegant to such an extent that its fair structure rivaled Minas Tirith, City of Kings... and so would it rival Minas Tirith in war for a shadow had come over the Capitol and the politicians of Rhun were already being poisoned by agents of Numenorean descent dispatched from Barad-dur. Alcorad was working a foothold into the Eastern Lands and wedging it deeper and deeper.
