A messenger from Enedwaith aproached Riavod. He dismounted his steed and approached the steps of the palace, looking around with wide eyes as this was the first time he'd ever been in the eastern lands. He showed the guards that he was unarmed and was then motioned onward. He bowed before the king, "M'lord, Valdrik, Chiefton of Enedwaith has sent me here with tidings of alliance."

Khaldun leaned foward on his throne with his elbows on the arm rests. "Valdrik of Enedwaith eh? The land of the wild men." Khaldun grinned wickedly, he would make a good ally he thought. "What are the terms of an alliance that lord Valdrik has put forth?"

The messenger stood from his bowing positon. "For now my lord only offers his aid in the event you are attacked, and asks only the same from you." A grin slowly curled on the messengers face, "My lord also expresses his intrest in a personal meeting between you and several other leaders of like mind. A meeting in which the future of the alliance and be discussed."

Khaldun nodded. "Sounds good, I accept the alliance and send my regards to lord Valdrik."

The messenger bowed again. "Thankyou, M'lord. Valdrik will be most pleased to hear this." He turned before standing to leave. He exited the palace and mounted his steed. He was off again, to Mordor now.

A black crow landed in the window sill and fluttered down onto the stone floor before Khaldun. Its head jerked from side to side as it surveyed the room through its beedy eyes. As its face turned towards a surprised Khaldun, it hopped forward and began to speek in a high mocking tone. "Khaldun, Khaldun!" it said. "Alcorad of Mordor requests aid at Moria. Aid at Moria. Aid at Moria." It turned about no longer looking towards Khaldun for its attention span was short and it was already intrigued at some dangling sash belonging to one of the Easterlings.

The easterling was startled at first, he had never encountered a talking bird before, but he now looked upon it with mild amusement as the guard with the sash glared at the bird menacingly. "The mighty Alcorad needs me eh? Morsereg of Angmar has already expressed his desire for Rhun to remain out of this conflict." he said with a slow sarcastic tone.

The bird fluttered back frm the Easterling as he stamped his foot and jerked forward angrily to peck him in the foot. Once the Easterling began to step back out of annoyance, the bird hopped back before the throne and cocked his head. "Does not matter. Does not matter. Don't heed Dindaedel. Come to Moria. Come to Moria."

The guard grunted and tried to beat away the bird. Khaldun leaned back in his throne and thought for a moment. "Tell Alcorad that I will send troops," he said to the bird

The bird himself was being controlled by Alcorad as somewhat of an emissary. It was a messenger of sorts but this minor ability could only take control of small creatures such as birds, bats, and insects. It twitched violently and its eyes became large as Alcorad's voice boomed from its tiny body. "Khaldu-Nasser your approval of my calling for aid has shown you to be a worthy ally of Mordor, however the coward has retreated from Moria and a council shall be held soon to locate him. If you wish to join us at the council then do so." The bird collapsed to the floor limp. Alcorad's presence within its body had killed the poor creature.

Khaldun raised an eyebrow "creepy isn't it?" he said to the guard. "he didn't even tell me where the council will be held." he got off the throne, his red cloak with black trimmings sweeping behind him. "I leave now, prepare my horse." he commanded a guard.
