In the Great Erg desert, which stretched across the north of Haradwaith, in great swathes, of dunes, salt pans, and bone-white hills, lay Moab - on a main trading route, underground aquifers welled up to create a great oasis, and it grew rich on the caravans which passed through it. Here, the rich Sultans and Sheikhs built palaces around the deep, cool lake.
