(Cheers to BFME 2.com)
The hosts of the Ered Luin are a total of 75,000 in strength. Their legions are:
33,000 Dwarven Warriors
~ These units carry heavy war-hammers and a Mithril sheild. They wear Mithril armour. They are part of the main bulk of the army.
12,000 Dwarven Battle-Wagons
~ Charging in on heavy-armoured warpigs, these act as the main cavalry for the Ered Luin Armies. As stated, the wagons and chariots are pulled by giant, raging warpigs. Skilled Elven Archers stand in the front, and armoured Dwarves kneel in the back, pushing out large barrels of explosive oils onto the battlefield.
15,000 Green Elven Archers
~Recruited from the land of Ossiriand, just west and below the Ered Luin, these Elven Archers are extremely accomplished with the bow. They wear their own Elven Armour, yet are friendly to the Dwarves.
3,000 Mountain Trolls
~ These trolls carry strong wooden clubs with spikes into battle and wear very heavy armour. Only strategically-placed arrows can kill one of these powerfull beasts. Nearly identicall to Angmar and Mordor's Olog-Hai in the sense that they can survive in direct sunlight and are under the will of their master, Cile, making them much more intelligent than any average troll.
3,000 Mountain Giants
~These are a significantly new race/breed discovered in the mountains by the Goblins. They carry heavy metal maces and wear only the very best of Mithril armour. They are twice as big as a normal troll (and Olog-Hai for that matter) and much, much more stronger and durable. They are very much a tide-turner in battle, and only used as such.
2,000 Mountain Minotaurs
~A race clouded by myth and legend. They are highly common in the mountains by the sea and weild powerful war axes. with the legs and head of a bull, and the torso of a human, these monsters are quick on their feet and very powerful. (About the size of a large man)
2,000 Cliff-dwelling Gryphons
~ Also a race of myth, these arial creatures life in caves located atop high cliffs. They are smaller than the Eagles of the Misty Mountains, but much more swift and agile in the air. They razor-sharp talons are of great use in battle
SEIGE WEAPONS:
Demolishers-
A very large battering-ram designed by only the best Dwarven Architechs. They are crucial to the Dwarven Army, and are known for their quick yet powerful smashes which take down enemy structures in minutes.
Dual-shot Catapults-
These catapults are nothing ordinary. They can fire two shots at once and quickly take down enemy structures.
Dwarven Warships-
The fleet of the Ered Luin. They are enormous warships that double as a unit transport and assultship. The wood is protected by mythril chain-mail, making it invulnerable to arrows, and reinforced with the thickest of Dwarven rivvets and metals. On deck of each ship sits six. catapults (equal on each side. Two on the left and right, and on in the front and back) and two balistae (on the left and right).
