I voted for Aaron, because of the perfect harmony of blends, choosen pictures and texts. It expresses a deep feeling of a quiet sadness as well as of a kind of calm happiness. A feeling Frodo must have had when he boarded the ship to Valinor. It catches my heart for some reason.

I go with Jackie's, myself. It's marvelous, with Aaron's at a close second. I liked Jackie's more then Aaron's, probably mainly because Aaron's was a little Frodo-centric, while Jackie's had a variety of the wee-little hobbitses! hehehhe...Yeah, they were all really good, though, guys, keep it up! I hope to be competing against all of you, one day...One day I shall best you! *cough* Yeah right...*cough*

Actually, Nif's was also centered around the hobbits... And I liked the originality of the quote from Pipin- "Where are we going?" and the Hobbits looking around in different directions as if deciding... awsome! ;D

Yeah but you had to have a specific quote, so that's why I didn't go with Nifs. She had the wrong quote

Well, I really hate voting for myself, I honestly do, but I just like the way that Aaron's sort of captured a sorrowful note with his blend. Really kind of an introspective piece, I think. Jackers' was technically superb, as was Niffy's, but I think Aaron's injected a very human quality in there - captured the frailness of Frodo, the unlikely hero, and what really awaited him at the end of the Road. Jackers gave a beautiful example of who traveled the Road, and Niffy captured the uncertainty of the Road, but I think Aaron grasped with his entry the inner emotions that must come perforce when one travels the Road, and though there are dark times along the way, at the end there is hope.

I did offer to change it, realizing it wasn't the right one...however, I did not hear back from the admins, and so I left it... It is only a simple banner, and not really intended for going up against full-sized wallpapers. At any rate, I've done some thinking...and I've decided that rather than entering contests, I think I'll just remain happy displaying my work in the quiet solitude of other threads or even other forums. I just don't think it is for me...and I don't feel comfortable doing it at this time. PS Megloren, thank you for recognizing the individuality of my work. I appreciate it. *bows*

Offer to the admins? Well, I am no admin, but I guess in charge for this contest so far. And I am pretty sure I mentioned, that everybody has 24 hours after posting to retreat their work for changes. And I am no prick who insists about anything, if you explain why you withdraw it completely and replaces it with another one you like better. Mhmmm, well - I am surely sorry that you don't want to stay in the contests. Your work is great and I really apreciate every piece of it. But I can't make you if you don't want and I know you are pretty busy with moving right now. I just hope you change your mind when you are in less stress than in moment.

*I* didn't, but all the broswers on all the computers are set one log in forever, so someone might have done it for me. Probably my father... Damn him... Oh well I wasn't going to vote anyways.

What I mean is that I posed a general question as soon as I noticed my mistake and hoped someone would answer, but I didn't see it happen...so I left it as is, thinking it was ok. Now I know it was not. As for withdrawing, I'm just not the competitive type. I may come back in the future, but right now, it does not seem very feasible. I will try to visit the forums as much as I can however, and perhaps help with the voting, if you want. You are all very talented, keep up the good work.
