Yeah, it was a thread on the last one, so I figured I'd start it up again.
I'm teaching myself bass because I don't want to go for lessons, lol. I haven't gotten the bass yet but should be in a matter of days. I'm in a band with some friends and, well, yeah.
I can't believe I just got into an argument with my friend over whether it's spelt bass or base. lol.
Me - I should be getting my bass in a couple days
Her - It's base, not bass.
Me - It's pronounced base, it's spelt bass.
Her - It's base, I think I would know.
Me - *lists a whole bunch of people from bands she knows, and goes to official sites to point out that each one of them says they play the BASS not the BASE and not all the official sites could be wrong*
But yeah. Anybody else play something? [If Devastation goes anywhere I'll be sure to inform you guys to look for CDs in stores lol]

Well, I've tried to learn all sorts of different instruments: piano, violin, little guitar.....not enough patience, damn it. And I love music. But I can play one instrument: my voice. I can sing rather well, or at least that's what I'm told (I am a modest fellow, after all). Mainly classical stuff: I have sort of a lyric tenor voice, and it's not suited to much modern stuff. Plus, classical is just better anyway.

Amen, lol. I play the piano all the time. My favorite pianist is Jim Brickman (look for his CD's if you've never heard him...he's awesome) and I love to play his music. Piano is my major hobby I guess, but I also play the clarinet on the side. It's pretty cool too. But yeah. Oh...and I also sing!  Exciting, eh? |

Ok, well, everyone already knows where I stand with music, so I won't say anything more, except, that since I've been recording my songs on Garageband, I'll try to get some up on the web so you can listen to it.

LoL, okay that I sing you guys know all. I found a pretty choir (quite exhausting, we sing sundays in two services! ) here in Dunedin. But there is also the Dunedin City Choir I want to check out. Fran, a secretary here gave me the number. Shall be pretty nice, too. I also have learned to play accordeon, but not done it anymore since ages and I teached myself a little bit harp. Couldn't buy the one in Seattle I wanted to much, because I couldn't have brought it in one piece to Germany and further to New Zealand. So I am lacking an instrument to play. Never learned piano. I am jealous about people who are able to play.

Yah Aaron plays Computer and Photoshop  I got a gutiar for my b-day, So I have been teachng myself that. I am getting pretty good as a matter of fact. |

Yah Aaron plays Computer and Photoshop ^ True, true - a good point. That's cool with the guitar - I picked at one a few times, but never quite got the hang on it. |

Awwww...
Uhh, I, differing from the rest of you, seriously lack musical talent. I play Saxophone in the band { yes, band geek, right here } since I've been playing since 4th grade and me parents won't let me quick. <mutters something obscene about parental units> I play a little clarinet, self-taught, and keyboard and acoustic guitar, also self-taught. And I sing, horribly, I don't have a very high voice for a girl. On the air { radio } I sound rather masculine. { Don't laugh! =P } so I'm probably an alto or something, maybe pushing a tenor. I sing a lot when I talk on the phone, it really adds something =P
Ok, I'm done. 'nough about me. MY friend plays the bass, she's the only one in the other band, unless you count all the guys from like, So Cal who surf and think they're hot stuff 'cause they can play guitar... so many bands I can't keep track...

That was in 4th grade though.
Does that even count as an instrument? They sound like crap.. I used to play it around my cat, and she'd run in circles and scratch at the door.
