Idrial's thoughts were filled with the cruel guard, even as Vilik changed his question to a bit more neutral one. "Well, I suppose I'm just full of luck." She said with a twinge of bitterness to her tone. She cast her gaze to the ground once more, her brown eyes full of so many emotions they were nearly indistinguishable. "Yes...I will avoid my home forever if I must." She said quietly. "I fear him...I do not want him to use me again." Idrial quickly reached for her glass of water, knocking it over in her haste. Her cheeks flushed with embarassment as she scooped the cup up and placed it back on the bedstand.

Vilik nodded. "Well, perhaps in time this fellow will get whats comming to him. Its been my experience that the guards that are assigned with such trivial tasks as the pursuit of 'common theives' have proven to be fit for little else. I haven't met one that could hold his own in a real fight, sure, they excell at harrassing laddies and stabbing starving old men in the back, but cower like dogs when at the recieving end of a blade." He thought about the guard that had killed his own father over a loaf of bread and gave a satisfied smirk as he remembered the look on the mans face as he begged Vilik in vain not to kill him. He realized suddenly that he was starring blankly at the wall and turned quickly to Idrial. "Well, since it seems you've got no place in particular to go, why don't you come with me....mind you, though, it will put you as an accessory to theft if you do. I plan on leaving this town by sea, and in a nicer vessel than that in which we arrived." He grinned waiting on her response.

Idrial glanced up, definitely considering the option. Finally she gave a slow nod. "I suppose that is my only option. I do not care if it makes me a thief...that is how everyone sees me anyway...why would it be make any difference." She swallowed, glancing toward the window. The maiden reached up to touch her head as a sharp pain when through the wound. "Oh how I hate sewn wounds." She ran her finger along the edge of the bandage...wishing it all would go away.

Vilik smiled at her agreeance, he had hoped she'd come along. He was about to divulge his intentions of tracking down Marcus and getting his ship back, but decided at the moment it wasn't important. If she wanted to go along though the whole thing she could and if not there would be plenty of ports inbetween now and finding him that she could depart if she chose. He watched as she peered out the window and commented on her wound. He walked behind her and brushed her hair back over her shoulder and looked at the stitching, "Your lucky, that doc did a good job of sewing you up, it'll hardly scar." He looked out the window and then back down at her and quickly turned to head for the door. "Why don't you get a little more sleep, it'll do you good. I'm gonna go down to the docks and see whats available in the lines of a boat." He was to the door as he finished speaking, glancing back once more before he headed out.

Idrial was about to protest, but Vilik had already gone out the door. "Well, it doesn't seem I have much of a choice." She said to no one in particular. She released a sigh, and pushed herself from the chair. She was careful to step over the wet spot from her spilled water as she climbed into the bed, this time slipping beneath the bedsheets and resting her head atop the pillow. Idrial wondered briefly where Vilik planned on going...but it did not matter much to her at the moment...all she wanted to do was rest. It wasn't long before the land of sleep claimed her.

Vilik walked around the docks for a few hours, scopping out the boats and moreso who owned them and how closely they were watched. After much thought he settled on a particular single mast boat. It was more of a pleasure boat than anything else, it had no sign of fishing nets nor of any weapons. It was quite long enough, about thirty feet in length, but would be easy enough to sail with just two on board. The sloop was sandwiched between the dock and a fishing boat, presumably it was the pleasure yacht of a well to do fisherman, though seldom used Vilik deduced by the amount of barnicles that could be seen just below the waterline. Vilik figured they could simply wait for the fisher man to leave in the morning aboard his fishing boat and slip onboard while the docks were mostly empty. He managed to slip onboard the boat when no one was looking. The boat had a furnished cabin and was stocked with supplies, it was definitely the boat he was looking for.
He left the docks and headed back to the inn, making sure that no one paid much attention to him. He even haggled with a few fishermen, acting like he was looking for work - this, in his experience, was a sure fire way to make the boat captains ignore you. When he returned to the room he found Idrial fast asleep beneath the covers. He thought for a moment to wake her so they could go downstair for a hot meal, but he stopped himself when he saw how peacefully she slept. He decided to just sit and wait for her to wake.

Idrial slept on for a while longer, before she was roused from her slumber by the noises from the other presence in the room. She moaned as she rolled onto her back, and propped her head up with her arm. "Oh...hello." She said with a small smile and a yawn. How long had he been there, she wondered. But, he had been right, and the sleep was good for her. It felt so good to rest. The maiden tucked her hair behind her ears and glanced toward the door. "How was your boat shopping?"

Vilik smiled when she woke and laughed at the question about boat shopping. "Well, I was begining to think you'd sleep straight through untill tomorrow." He stood up, "Why don't you accompany me downstairs and we can talk about the boat prospects over a hot meal." He raised a brow, "Sound good to you?"

Idrial nodded. "That sounds like a grand proposition." She rose from the bed and combed back her hair before turning toward the door. "Do they have good meals here?" She briefly touched the bandage on her head, hoping it would not draw to her any unwanted and unneeded attention. Oh well, she was not worried, for the prospect of food sounded too good.

Vilik laughed as they headed downstairs, "The food here is actually pretty good.... the only drawback is everytime I've come here a naked man has been tossed onto the table before the meal could be finished. Of course, I've only stayed here once before." When the got downstair they took a seat in a booth near the back of the room, one quite secluded from the others as there was a broken table between them and the next booth. It seemed like ages since he had sat down for a hot meal, when in fact it had been less than two nights ago that they sat at the broken table adjacent them. He thought briefly about the others, wondering if they'd accomplished their goal and made it out alive or if they'd met their fate in Gurherdir's dungeon. His thoughts were cut short as the waitress came to take their orders. He started to order a cut of beef, but thought twice on its freshness here in Haradwaith. "I'll have fish, whatever was caught fresh today and whatever unspoilt vegetable you have handy. And and ale of course." The waitress smiled and turned to Idrial for her order.

Idrial was startled at the prospect of having to order a meal. She hadn't been prepared, and had no idea what to ask for. "I - I'll just have the same." She motioned toward Vilik and the waitress nodded, departing to prepare their orders. She glanced toward a table off to the other side of the room, noting out of the corner of her eye that the woman was scanning her wound carefully. Flustered, Idrial brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, and placed her hand over top of the bandage. "I hate it when people stare." She murmured.

Vilik looked at her curiously. "Is that so? I would have figured you to be used to people starring... at least the gentlemen anyway." He turned and looked across the room in the direction Idrial had been looking when she made her comment. He smirked, "Now, theres no doubt why she stares this way. She's looking at me." He laughed at his own joking comment as the waitress came and sat their drinks on the table.

Idrial arched a neatly shaped brow at Vilik's comment. "Is that so?" She nodded a thank you to the waitress and looked down at her glass. She sipped briefly from the cool liquid before placing it back on the table. She rested her elbows on top of the table, placing her chin on her fists. "You know...it really has not been that long since I've had a full night's sleep...is it wrong that I be so weary?" She gave a lopsided smile, and closed her eyes for a brief moment. She hoped the food would arrived soon.

Vilik shrugged and took a sip of his ale. "I don't suppose its all that wrong. Seems to me you've had quite a time of it for the past week or so, ..... pirates, Harradrim villians, ...holes, or should I say 'sword hilts.' It would be enough to wear anyone out." He took another sip of his drink, "Now if things go well tomorrow you'll have nothing other than the sun, waves and gulls to worry about for a while." He leaned forward and lowered his voice. "I came across the perfect boat this afternoon, and by the time the fishermen leave the docks it should be an easy heist."

Idrial nodded, and bit her lip. "You do not suppose we should wait around for a while to see how the others fares...if they even show up at all?" She laced her fingers together and watched him carefully. She shook her head. "Never mind...we can discuss it later. I do not wish to ruin my dinner." She paused. "Or whatever meal this may be." The maiden sighed as they waited, and was finally glad when the waitress placed two plates before them. "Thank you." Idrial said as she departed...suddenly seeming to remember something, she looked to Vilik. "I don't believe I ever thanked you for your help. I'd surely be dead now otherwise."
