With the Ered Luin conquered and Erebor in the clutches of Angmar and Rhun, the last of the dwarven might lay in the Iron Hills. With such a large chunck of Kili's forces away fighting for the lost cause of Erebor, Minos precieved his chance to strike, thus with the armies assembled, Minos secretly marched for like five days and arrived in the Iron hills.
Under the war banner of Ered Luin, Minos led a force to the Iron Hills. Among the ranks were twenty thousand Elvish Cavalry from Mithlond, five thousand Wrag riders from Moria, fifteen thousand Dark Dwarves from Moria, and fifteen thousand dwarves of Ered Luin, making a total of 55,000.
Dwaves moved to the gates of the Iron Hills and began work at battering the great door and hammering the hinges it hung on. Soon the gates would falter and the storm waiting outside would flood into the bowels of the caves, cleansing them of any trace of Kili's army.

Minos' troops continue to batter the gates with massive battering rams. Catapults were set in place and soon boulder began raining down on the hill tops. The battering would continue untill the gates gave way, which couldn't be long, or untill the dwarves decided to come out and fight.

Word had been sent to Moria and Mithlond for reinforcement 20,000 more troops would arrive in the Iron Hills in a matter of days. Minos and his troops coninued battering Kili's gate, wondering if the dwarves had lost all their nerve for fighting.

30 000 Men and Elves from Enedwaith and Imladris made for the Ironhills, to aid Minos in his fight against the dwarves. They made great haste and would arrive soon.

The catpults hit the group of men battering the gate, but as they fell trolls rushed forward and continued the battering. They could hear the gate creaking and knew that it couldn't hold out much longer. Meanwhile, now that Kili's catapult locations were revealed Minos had his own seige engineers began aiming and firing catapults in their direction.

((ok three questions, one, how big is you battering ram, two, you don't even own a realm, how did you get 75,000 men, and three, where did the trolls come from.))
The dwarves had piled dirt against the gate and timbers under the dirt to hold the gate, it held the bolws of the battering ram but would not last long.

The forces from Morsereg were a day away now, and could see the peaks of the Iron Hills on the horizon.

(What he said sums it up)
Minos' reinforcements arrived and sat poised to swarm into the mountain when the Gates fell, which would could not be but hours away as the huge ram kept slamming against the gate. Seige catapults continued hurling great boulders into th mountainside, aimed anywhere defensive catapults could be seen.

The forces of Morsereg retreated before reaching the Iron Hills, as if being called away by their master...They had better plans to attend to then aiding Moria in its conquests...
