"If your words are true Morsereg, then in my time of need I can only trust you. The swords I have foraged shall not be used this day and If you do aid me in the protection of Arnor then may a friendship perhaps be forged. Obviously the leaders of Angmar and Enedwaith are not as foolish as Saruman. Megloren will not share power when she acheives it, this I assure you. Now that we may band together Arnor will be prepared."
Then something occured to him. Morsereg and Megloren had slain Albesteen... could he really trust someone who had just killed on of his greatest allies?

At this entrance Aragorn actually rose and stood, walking toward Morsereg with wonder in his eye.
"Long have we been acquainted from afar, Master of Angmar, and though little dost thou know of it, high in good standing do I hold thee and the honour and good form with which I see thee always. If thee and thy realm offer to us thy allegiance, at the least for this endeavour, then forever greatful shall I and Gondor be. I am taken with a thought: perhaps we might combine thy plan and that of Ashuron in a manner of which I know. But I would have thee inform me why this sudden shift in loyalty. What reasons or hate dost thou bear toward Megloren, and canst thou declare a logical reason for us to proffer thee trust, especially when it is said that thou art the slayer of Albesteen? Be it enow for my needs, then I shall call thee friend, and offer my hand in comradeship, and higher in my estimation shalt thou be."

Morsereg looked at Aragorn, and began to answer him, one thing at a time, "Yes, I offer you alleigance, for this endeavour and afterwards. As for my shift in loyalty...Megloren is a witch, and corrupts the minds of many. She has tried to do such to me, and it was under her influence that I slew Albesteen. I ask for forgiveness, and if it is not given, remember that I am the vassal of Namo...I could attempt to bring him back from the Halls of My Master,"

However Doren calm Doren might have been at that moment, despite the fact that his cities were a target of evil, he snapped in anticipation wanting so badly for his friend to return. It seems emotions are strongest in time of greif. "Then proceed! Bring him back! He died before his time."

Ilmare nodded. "No doubt Megloren is able to do so. She is a witch and greedy for power," she said quietly.

Lord Garland slipped into the Citadel, he stood quietly in back. He had recieved word that many lords had traveled to Gondor, and he could see now it was true.

"Morsereg, I must ask this, for I have the well-being of my race to look after. Do you have any proof that once Megloren is defeated you won't immediatly turn on us and stick a knife in each of our backs...or a morning star as it were in this case?"

"Calm down, Master Doren," Morsereg looked to Doren, and then, staff in hand, he closed his eyes, muttering, "Mandos, my master...I have sinned, I have betrayed thee...I ask now for redemption. I have killed my kin, and I ask of thee, bring him back. Let Albesteen the Silver walk again on this earth...Release him, my master..." He paused, and as his eyes opened, a look of shock was on his face, "It's not possible to bring him back..."
"He's already alive."
He turned to Ashuron, "I am a man of my word, Master Elf. I would sooner stick a morning star through my own, unless you give me reason to."

Doren was somewhat shocked. His ally was alive and perhaps in Arnor. All he could do was wait to defend. He had to return to his home. He needed to go in his people's time of need.
"My friends, I must go now. I have little part but to defend my land and if I may, I wish to be with my people now. If the attack is on Annuminas then the defenses there need to be bolstered and troops I have scattered through the many ancient cities of Arnor need to return. I have much business to attend to and I thank each of you for your aid. I am afraid I must take my leave now."
Doren turned to see Lord Garland. Why he had not walked to greet the others sooner, Doren was not sure but none of that mattered to him. He needed to prepare for this war and he needed to find Albesteen.

Garland met Doren's look and replied. "If you would like, I will ride with you, friend, and help you in your search."

Doren nodded. He would accept any aid. Once again the word that Moria was an enemy echoed through his mind. From Morsereg and from Ilmare. Doren paused to think and then turned to Morsereg and Ilmare and indicated Garland. "Is this the king of Moria?"

Garland was taken aback by the question Doren had asked. He looked at the two Doren had spoken to, never having seen them before.

Morsereg shook his head, looking at Garland slowly, "I've never seen him before."

"An intersting turn is this, then. I have seen this Garland before now, when he offered me the allegiance of Moria. Know thou him not, Morsereg? Thou, Ilmare? Nay? Then grievous our plight is. Can there be twain lord of the Black Pit? Is the Black Pit now again the evil place of yesteryear? What hast thou to say, "Lord of Moria?""
