A messanger entered the halls and bowed to Evinyatar and handed him a letter from Mirkwood.
Dear Lord Evinyatar,
The Lady of Mirkwood has invited you and any of your subjects who you wish to bring to a masquerade ball in Mirkwood. All realms are invited but at the time of the ball there shall be no good or evil, merely a party with gatherers. Come to talk, joke, and have fun and maybe fix any loosened ties withing realms. We hope to see you and those you bring. Please reply to as soon as possible.
Sincerly, Siranna of Mirkwood.

Into the Great Hall of Lights strode Aragorn the high king, and before at sword point walked Murazor Bauglir, betrayer of Gondor, whom Aragorn had brought here that witness might be brought against him in the attack of Queen Arwen. Aragorn bade Murazor sit upon a stool hard by, and to be silent, and wrote a swift missive to Vaire, who was waiting at Arwen's side in the Houses of Healing. He requested her presence with utmost speed, that she might give testimony before judges that she had seen Bauglir commit this dreaful act. He sent the note with a serving-boy, and then called for the men of his courts, that they might harken to her.

Vaire got the message and immediatly she left the houses of healing and made her way up to the citadel. She was curious and slightly concerned about the appearing of Bauglir, not to mention disapointed to meet him alife. She entered the citadel and walked up tot Aragorn and Bauglir. "Here I am, my Lord. You called for me."

"Sit thyself down, my lady," Aragorn intoned, "And inform us as to the exact happening in this room ere Murazor departed. Tell us no lies, and we shall listen all attentive. Be ye honest, for my wife's life hangs upon this conversation."

In the houses of healing, Arwen started to move. The potion of Vaire was due, but the call to the citadel had made her leaving so soon, that she forgot to give Arwen the next dose. Suddenly the Queen opened her eyes and the healer run to her bed to see what happened to her. She looked around wildly. "Where is she? Where is Vaire?" she asked. The nurse thought she wanted her friend at her bed and said:" I am sorry my Lady, but the king has returned and ordered her to the citadel." Arwen looked firy at her and the nurse backed off. The queen raised from her bed, dressed quickly with trembling limbs and hurried up the hill to the citadel. She pushed the door open and stood int the doorway, as soon as Vaire started to talk. "LIER!!!!!!" Arwen shouted and came in swift steps to her. "Traitor!" She said. All thought she meant Bauglir and looked partly shocked and relieved at her. Only Vaire knew the truth. She turned towards her and said: "I didn't want to harm you, Arwen!"

Aragorn rose very, very slowly from his throne where he had sat to listen to Vaire, and his eyes leapt from Arwen to Murazor, and there he did not feel any more fear, but there lingered the sense of doubt.
Then his eyes went to Vaire.
Then his hand went to the hilts of his great sword.
He walked with a firm stride and a heavy across the room where she stood cowered against a pillar, and he took hold of her arm.
"There can be no guilt of Murazor in this matter, of that much I am certain and I am hopeful of his forgiveness. But, however, thou shouldst not be hopeful of my forgiveness. Tell to me the truth now, woman, and I shall attempt to ease the burning in my heart, a prospect which is not likely. Death awaits thee in this hall no matter what may come from out thy lips. TELL ME!"

Vaire looked back and forth between Arwen and Aragorn, but remained silent. All blood was droped away from her face and she looked pale as the death with great eyes at the shiny blade in Envinyatars hand. Vaire kneeled down and bowed her head, receiving the final stroke. She wouldn't say anything. Nothing could save her anyway.
Arwen saw Vaire kneeling before Aragorn and she darted between them. "No, don't kill her. Elessar!"

"I shall not slay an unarmed woman in my hall, especially when she has not admitted guilt. Rise, vile serpent: thou shalt not be slain - this instant. Stand upon thy feet and propound to us thy tale. Be swift."

Vaire shoke her head and looked at Arwen. The queen met her glance. "Why Vaire? You strangled me and I felt you stabbed me. Why did you do that?" Vaire lowered her eyes. "I wanted to know, know what it would cost for a deed to make Aragorn, King of Gondor, doing vengence." She sight. "I failed. You never do vengence, not even yet where I am kneeling in front of you. I stole the script. I turned into Arwens shape. I blamed Murazor Bauglir for what he didn't had done. But you wount do vengence even yet. Not even for the love of your life." She looked at Arwen. "Aragorn stands far upon us. He has no heart like we do. Vengence is not in him." Arwen looked with a question to Aragorn and stepped away from Vaire. "I don't understand." she said and dropped to the ground, suddenly to weak to stay anymore.

Murazor looked from Aragorn to vaire to Arwen to Aragorn , this had been quite entertaining , though he wanted to point out one thing , well quite a few actually ,the lord of Harad actually went forth with the plan , now how to get it out of him was a lot harder, he new vaire was not of the east , it would be pointing to Harad all to well ,but he kept this to himself . Moria had made him look the agressor against Mithlond ,Vaire had done by far the most damage she made him look like a traitor ,and then tried to make him look like a Murderara, and some words crept out of his mouth which only he could hear, then he came round to saying "So whos else was helping out in this plan, you must be doing something to help some one "

Vaire looked to Arwen, who was sitting pale on the ground not much more than two arm length from her. Vaire draw a hidden knife from under her dress, jumped up and cut with a scream into Aragorns hand, still holding her arm. His grip loosed in surprise of that sudden bite and Vaire darted towards Arwen, crashed into her and came down on her, nailing her onto the ground, without any further movement of one of them.

Aragorn started in surprise at the swift strike of this serpentine woman, and snatched at her as she dove for Arwen - but she was beyond his reach. Her blade bit deeply into Arwen's shoulder, and she reared back to strike her again, but then Aragorn's hand came snaking around her neck and wrenched her head back. Her knife clattered to the ground in surprise as his long sword was held against her neck.
"Nay, I shall not take vengeance needlessly, but when thou hast the unmitigated gall to assault a King in his Hall, and to attempt the murder of his Queen, heaped upon the injuries he and his have already sustained from thee - then I shall sentence thee to death. Move not, foul snake, or thy blood shall stain these stones."
Aragorn called for his guard, and two score elite Winged Guards sprang into the room. Taking apprisal of the situation at once, they encircled Vaire and Aragorn.
"Thou shalt go with these good gentlemen, woman, and in the dungeons thou shalt be relieved of thy head. Now, get thee hence!"

Arwen watched how the Guards took Vaire away, holding the wound in her shoulder. Than she looked at Aragorn with tears in her eyes and begged him to help her up and hug her.

"Fear thee no more, dearest," said Aragorn as he picked her up bodily and cradled her near him in his strong arms. "All has passed, and she will trouble us no more, my sweet. Come, kiss me, and I shall take thee to the Healers, where thou shalt have rest. Kiss me, beloved, for I have missed thy tender lips, and have mourned them as dead. Kiss me, for I love thee."
