Doren entered the Golden Hall of Rohan and bowed respectfully "Lord of the Riddermark, I am Lord Doren of Arnor! I come to Rohan seeking alliance with you so that we may seal peace with our kingdoms and fight together in possible times of war. If it would be accepted we may be able to establish trade, for Arnor is still healing itself from many past tragedies. Do you accept my offer of alliance, Noble King?"

He nodded. "Rohan will of course ally with kins of old. Yet we will decide which wars to enter, and such reglardless of this alliance. Take note of this."

"I will only call on you when in dire need and I expect you to do no less for me. Now I shall ride north towards Lothlorien but before I travel there I shall stay here in the inn for the night. Doren bowed low to Eomund and departed Meduself for the inn at Edoras, paying the stable boys to keep the eleven steeds that had beared them to Rohan.
In the morning Doren retreived his steed and with the men of Bree Departed North towards Lothlorien but what they would find on there way would be even more of an adventure than the travel to the Golden Wood itself

As the day passed over the bright land of Rohan, the sun shone at her zenith upon Edoras, City of Eorl. The rays of warm light from out the sky glinted upon the golden thatch of the King's Hall, for here is where events would transpire this day. Athwart the sunbeams in their glance there flew a noble falcon, a great peregrine of plumage most sable. About his leg there was tightly wrapped a black parchment of high import. He soared through the city, and passing through a window into the great hall he alighted upon the tiled floor of the King's court. Not the least obeisance made he; not a moment stopped or stayed he, but stately stalking down between the columns of the hall he knelt before the King, and all the Rohirrim there assembled looked in amaze. Good Eomund motioned for him to advance, and then took from his leg the parchment. He unfolded it, and behold! for it was of a fine texture, and upon it at the top were blazoned in silver and gold the seven stars and crown of Elendil, and betwixt them the White Tree of Gondor. Below was scribed in fine silver penstrokes this missive: Envinyatar Telcontar, the Renewer Heir of Elros Tar-Minyatur by the Line of Elendil High King of Gondor
unto
Eomund II Heir of Eorl Horse-Lord by the Line of the East-Side Ruler of Rohan
Greeting!
Good my lord and friend, gladsome is the day when thou and I - and our twain realms - may commune. I fear my message now may not be for so gladsome a cause. This day have I received tidings from our shared ally Arnor that war is mongered upon her borders. Angmar sets her glance upon the lands of my family, it is said. Therefore, from Lord Doren, my kinsman, I have received an advance request for aid. That the south may be made aware if the north shall require aid, he has put forth the plan of placing scouts of Gondor upon his southern borders, nigh unto thy lands. I compose this message to thee, then, that I may petition for thy leave to pass several of my elite Rangers through thy lands. Their sole intent shall be to inform their lord of the doings of the north, and harm thy land shall they not. I extend unto thee my gratitude for the few moments spent with me today in writ, and await an answer at thy pleasure.
Farewell.
//Signed //
Envinyatar Telcontar, Elessar of the House of Valandil
Sealed by my hand, Findegil, King's Writer [/right]

Eomund read this note and quickly replied-
What will scouts benefit you? If war comes to the north, then the absence of the Horse-Lords should give you warning enough. We dont want your scouts snooping into Rohan's bussiness. The reply, is no.
((Sorry Aaron, but meg has control over Eomund.))

Aragorn's falcon was a devious fellow, and was able to peruse the Horse-King's message as he penned it. Eomund thrust the parchment at the bird. The falcon grabbed it with his talon, pecked the King smartly upon his hand, and flew away, winging afar to the east and the White City.

The sun shone brightly on the Golden Hall of Rohan and in the sky above Meduself flew a falcon of great size and grace. He flew through the arched windows of Meduseld and perched upon the King's arm bearing a letter wich he indicated with his beak.
Greetings, Lord Eomund,
I Doren, Lord of Arnor, Invite thee to a council of high importance at Annuminas. It seems that the lands of Angmar, Isengard, Moria, Enedwaith, and Khand are banding together to launch an attack on the free realms of Middle Earth. Surely this must trouble you, Lord of the Mark, for the wild men shall now ravage your lands with the allies they have in the mountains. I await you answer with most anticipation and hope that you will aid Arnor and the free realms in our cause. Many leaders of realms across Middle Earth shall be present and I hope that i may count you among them.
~Sincerely, Lord Doren, King of Arnor~

((Told you his allies, this thing of banding together to launch an attack is speculation at best))

((Exactly. He said Angrenost and Moria. Nothing about Khand and Enedwaith, nor anything about an alliance. ))

(you should read more carefully. speculation about the banding together. yes. it is speculation. but the alliances supports the idea.)
