Little Contest?

Okay, since we have a wonderfull website ( Hey guys, we DO have a wonderfull website!!! I hope everybody noticed that and has sometimes a look ) to put wonderfull wallpaper, banners and avis on it, and since more people than Aaron allone are going to train themself in making this little precious, I have an idea.

Why not making a contest of the best artwork here and putting the winners up onto the website to get us more nice Awards? I have seen such internal contests on other boards and the results were amazing. What do you think?

If I counted right and our new member Jacky participates in the contest, too, we have 2 master designer (Aaron and Jacky) and three students (Tony, Corey and me). Maybe there are some people around who want to join us aswell - like Jessi maybe??? Come on guys, that would be fun.

SOUNDS GREAT!! Of course, what shall we be making, anything in particular? [As in, any particular theme or type of image? [AKA Avatar, Wallpaper, ect.]] I've got no preference but if it's no particular theme, I think I'm gonna do something from The Crow.

Mhmm, dunno. I can only say that they normally try to figure a thema. Maybe evil, or good vs. evil. Some do just Lotr or Aragorn or something. But Evil or evil vs. good would suit for the crow, also... And they make Avi contests seperate from banner contests mostly. to make it better comparable.

Oh and like we talked about on MSN, would be great to have the same rules like in the trials of Lords. Maybe masters against Masters and Students against Students. The winner of both would go than in the final contest.

lol Okay than let's shoot for it, and ask Aaron about it. *crosses fingers for an 'Evil' or 'Evil Vs. Good' theme because he already has a Crow graphic planned out*

I mean, LOTR is just fine and dandy, if you guys wanna just do a LOTR related one, it wouldn't bother me...I'd just need to think of a new graphic plan, and redo a new Rough Copy *already has rough copy of Crow graphic done*

I think it might depend on, what we are doing with the winner. If he goes finally into one of the big competitions, it might be a problem if its not Lotr, don't know. But if we say, that the winner has to make anyway a new work for the big competitions, it might be allright.

Hey, this is a sweet idea, though I'll tell you right now that Miss Jacky will kick my ass. But I'll give it a shot. So we have Tony, Tom, Petra, and Aaron so far. So you want to do it pitting skill level against skill level? If we do that, it might be simplest to do a themed kinda contest, ya know, like a contest for blends on Arwen, or on Sauron, or on something that best illustrates a quote...any thots?

Mhmm, no offence, but Aragorn and Arwen are a little worn out in many many many other contests. Its quite difficult to find a new and nifty way for this charries. Well... , since Aarons new project is up and run: Why don't we try Beren and Luthien? The recources are on the website, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find pics. If thats to large (it is huge, because almost every evil creature of Arda got involved), we could just say the evil creatures in the tale or the Lovestory or Beren and Luthien in the Halls of Mandos, etc...

Well, my favourite would be Evil Creatures in the Tale of Beren and Luthien.

A quote of the tale would be cool too. We could use a quote WITH EVIL CHARRIES involved. ;o) More ideas? We just collect and than we can decide. Oh and I asked on Secret Whispers Jacky if she likes to sign up against Aaron.

I might enter if you need more people. I've never made anything like this before, but I've done a few types of computer graphics before and taken one computer art class (granted that it was just basic stuff), and hey, there's a first time for everything, isn't there?

What I'm getting at is I'll probably do it, it won't turn out very good, but it'll look better to have more people in the competition.
